for whatever reason, the headache i went to sleep with last night refused to let me go. i'd tried reading the Word, confession of faith for my healing, and to even just simply pray. but the healing didn't manifest yet. so i went to sleep anyway, and praise God, i had a great night of sleep.
but come morning, mr migraine was back again. now it had really started to bug me. but, i did what i do best to it. just dao. but somehow when i was asleep it seemed to have made a pact with my nose to keep secreting mucus to remind me that i wasn't well, to try and detract me from the simple truth that i am the healed by Jesus' stripes.
so on i went to school, having those 2 compounded by a niggling throat, who decided that "three's a crowd" was utter crap. so i was blowing my nose, having throbbing veins in my head and trying to clear my throat every 5 mins or so.
then, during bio lecture, this revelation just dawned on me.
"so who cares what he thinks? i thought it's Jesus said one."
a simple truth like that suddenly gave me the strength to completely dao the pain. up till then i was trying very hard, maybe too hard, that i was actually giving it more attention. hmm. sounds familiar.
it didn't help that in the afternoon, we had to do a math mock prelim paper (i wonder if they'll call our prelim paper a "mock a-level paper"?). before that, i had been doing chem questions for 2 hours straight, and my head felt pretty stiff, replacing that horrible migraine, but still feeling quite bad nontheless. i remember spacing out at least 3 times during the paper, but still came back to attempting the few questions i actually understood what they were asking about.
isn't it funny how the more you think, the more convoluted your thinking becomes, and the worse you do for math? that's how i feel anyway.
so, after the paper, i felt....tired. disappointment in math hardly comes nowadays, since one can only improve or maintain. a U. (hey don't laugh, most of our cohort failed). i'm actually pretty happy about this paper though, but of course it doesn't mean i'll get an A. maybe perhaps, just maybe, possibly, a D? :)
anyway, when i found out we were having dinner with my aunt and cousins, i wonder if it'd make me more tired or more exhausted. they were at my place to watch the guy who was fixing the air-conditioners at home; 3 of them broke down simultaneously lol.
dinner was a very enjoyable affair. it started off with meeting carl at the eating outlet, and it turns out that he reached the exact same place before me; even though we left school at the same time, he by bus, me by car. still, we had to pick up the kids, so...
dinner with the kids was fun, as always. it's times like these that i am reminded how blessed i am; to have three little cousins to play with, to be able to watch over them like a Big Brother (though i never had one myself). i'm really fond of them; they're the closest i have to siblings.
but wait, here comes the best part.
after we came home (after ice creams at mannoners after dinner), i only realised in the shower:
my headache was gone!
not only did He touch that little symptom, but He made the process of healing thoroughly enjoyable.
thank You Jesus. :)
