said our goodbyes to our taiwan friends yesterday.

some people got really emotional. crying and stuff like that. me? i didn't even shed any (literal) crocodile tears. 1 or 2 people went, "hey, aren't you sad they're leaving? why aren't you even looking sad?" and i didn't know how to answer. i'm just not the kind who cries at farewells. heck, it's not as if we're never going to see each other again anyway. i know for a fact that before we realise it, we'll be there in taiwan. i shudder to think the amount of tears that would be generated on december 22 and 23.

i also realise that i was kinda mean when everyone was saying their goodbyes, and crying. i went around singing sad songs like 祝福 by 张学友. then when everyone was sad and having wet eyes and stuff, i was still smiling.

i guess i wasn't sad on a personal level (ie that my buddy was leaving), but just a slight 'general' sadness that a group of friends was leaving.

bah, enough of farewells. i must get a life.

yesterday was also the first time i slept on my date with Jesus. i kinda dozed a little during pastor lawrence's message, 'cos i only slept 3 1/2 hours the previous night. no, i was not staying up late chatting with my buddy, but i knew a lot of people who did that and only slept a grand total of 2 hours or so over the previous 2 nights (ie wednesday and thursday night). they all had bloodshot eyes, and scratchy voices. no wonder they went home immediately after the farewell.

crap. i'm talking about farewells again.

back to church... oh yeah, i just found out yesterday that j. ong goes to the same church! i met him yesterday, then i was really surprised to see him. he said he's been going there since he was sec 3 (when i was sec 2), and some more, we later found out that alex had taught him as well! small world huh.

also had a nice talk with alex today. we were talking about stuff like letting the world define what situation requires what kind of emotion (ie sadness at farewells) and how that'd cause lots of troubles for people like me.

crap, just talked about farewells again. man, i really have no life. always talking about the same old things.

ok. i'm off.

got. to. get. a. life.
